Changing definitions of academic honesty?
What is considered academically honest and dishonest changes between different types of assessments. Therefore it is not possible to know all about academic honesty before you start any Unit of Study.
Certain standards of academic honesty are relatively universal, and you are expected to observe them UNLESS explicitly told otherwise by the UoS coordinator.
These are:

All work of others should be referenced and cited appropriately.
- Students should only submit work that is a result of their personal knowledge, skills and effort.
Examples of different aspects of Academic Honesty depending on the unit of study.
1. Usually it is not acceptable for students to read and comment on each others’ written assignments, but when the lecturer includes peer review, it becomes part of honest academic work.
2. What needs to be referenced changes between open and close-book exams, reports and essays.
